Welcome! I’m Kimberly and my pronouns are she/her.
I’m a tired parent of two little kids who uses strength training to make my life better, without spending all of my time and energy on exercise.
I’ve been coaching fitness for over 15 years and I’m delighted you’ve found my little corner of the internet — where the weights are heavy, the workouts are short (yet effective) and where you can show up as yourself — no “perfect” body or diet required.
My relationship with exercise wasn’t always so positive.
For most of my 20s I was suffering from orthorexia — an extreme obsession with perfect health — and put myself through disordered eating habits and unrealistic expectations of what my body should look like, both as a woman and as a fitness coach.
Becoming a parent absolutely changed the trajectory of my career and my relationship with my body. Never have I felt so out of control in my body and the changes it would make, completely independent of my habits.
8 years ago, I made the decision to stop coaching weight loss (for others and myself) and I’ve never looked back.
I left toxic fitness culture in my past when I started coaching this way and wow is this side of exercise better! There’s so much more to life than having the “perfect” body.
I’m done trying to be perfect, stay small and fall in line. Exercise (and life) becomes much more enjoyable and sustainable when we use it as a tool to make our lives better instead of a way to punish ourselves.
And this can happen with 10 minute workouts done in your pajamas with a few pieces of equipment in your messy living room. I know this because this is also how I usually incorporate fitness into my life right now, as a person with a whole life outside of the gym.
If you’re ready to make exercise a sustainable and stress free part of your life, I’d be honored to coach you — because exercise really doesn’t need to be so complicated (or miserable) to be effective.
"Kim has been a fantastic coach to have in my corner. In fact, I don’t know where I would be without her. Her coaching style is calm and supportive, which is perfect for me after many years with an unhealthy relationship with exercise and movement.
From helping me with exercises to reduce my hip pain, to helping me learn to do movement because I actually can enjoy it, Kim’s knowledge and understanding has been monumental in my life. Kim’s expertise in perinatal strength and weight-inclusive coaching is so needed in the fitness industry!"
